Fighting For Her Life

As you all know, my niece Kellie Nadeau has been fighting a long hard battle with diabetes all of her life. She is only 33 years old with Stage V Renal Failure and is in need of a kidney and pancreas. Her most recent challenge is the infection she has had in her foot since November. She has received some devastating news this past week that will change her life forever. Kellie, has to have her lower leg amputated. She is of course beyond terrified, but she knows this has to happen in order to survive. Kellie, is like a daughter to me. She is sweet, kind and always thinking of others. I want to thank her fiancé Hans, who goes above and beyond for her and has been a rock thru all of this, but this is a fight she has to do on her own. We will never know the pain she is going through, but we can be there to support her. It's time for family, friends, coworkers, and maybe complete strangers to come together and help someone who is in desperate need. I can't even imagine what she is feeling at this time; as a young women losing part of her body. Kellie is a fighter and will conquer this and it will be a new chapter in her life. She will need plenty of rehabilitation and a prosthetic leg. Who knows how her insurance will cover or won't cover. When she gets home from the hospital she will need continued help. She would never ask for help, but I feel she deserves the help. If you would like to donate anything to her it would be greatly appreciated.
