Mark Mackowiak's Medical Expenses

My name is Claire Edmondson and I am raising money for my sweet 10 year old nephew, Mark Mackowiak and his parents Ellen and Matt.  It is with a heavy heart that I share this devistating news - Mark has been diagnosed with a very advanced stage of cancer called Acute Burkitt's Lymphoma & Leukemia.  In just a short time much of his body, including, his spinal fluid, bone marrow, lymph nodes, and other areas of his body are riddled with this horrific disease.  

Mark and his family have a long road ahead.  Over the next year he will undergo countless chemotherapy treatments, spinal taps, and painful medical procedures.  Any money you are able to donate will help his family cover his vast medical expenses.  The financial need is immediate and will be ongoing. Mark's father, Matt, is an owner of a small business technology start-up; which is successful but still in the early stages of taking off.  Given his father's career, his mother, Ellen's, income and health insurance are crucial. Unfortunately, after a small amount of vacation time is used up any time she takes off work will be unpaid.

Let me tell you about my nephew, Mark. He is a straight "A" student, book-loving, sports fanatic and ever encouraging big brother and cousin! Mark loves God and his faith.  He has a soft spot for people that are hurting.
