Fighting Cancer with Terrence

Our brother, Corporal Terrence Sanders, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Multiple Myeloma in January. The disease is in Stage III, and Terrence is currently undergoing treatment.
Terrence has been a police officer for 10 years. Throughout his time on the police department, he has touched many lives, either while working patrol in District V, District II, or at the police academy. He currently serves as one of our instructors training our recruit officers. He strongly believes that it is his responsibility to ensure that our officers are thoroughly prepared to handle the many facets of our profession.
His 15-year-old daughter, Alliyah, has been fighting side-by-side with her daddy since this disease entered their lives. Oftentimes, Terrence finds himself fatigued, but he continues to stand tall and fight. Both Alliyah and Terrence are looking forward to the day when he is cancer-free, and they can resume their daddy-daughter moments.
Terrence lives a healthy lifestyle, and we are hopeful that his commitment to clean eating and physical fitness will help him immensely in his fight to continue to live strong. He’s a dedicated, well-respected member of our department and a great father.
Terrence has a long road ahead with treatment, and like most of us, would not ask for help; but he could use our help. Cancer is an expensive disease to treat, and his medical expenses are growing beyond what his insurance provider covers. We ask that you consider donating what you can to help relieve Terrence and his family from the burden of these additional expenses.
