As many of you know, PJ Patterson went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2016, following a logging accident. He was a 1979 graduate of Cottage Grove High School. He met his wife “Pookers” (Jeanie) in high school and they were married on July 11, 1981. They had two boys: Brendan and Jeffrey. After the boys moved out, he would call them every morning and they would pray together.
PJ was very well known in the community, and would do anything for anybody. He was avidly involved with his church, and one of his favorite activities was the Trunk-or–Treat. He wouldn’t give the kids just one piece of candy; he would give them handfuls.
He was a man with an infectious laugh; a devoted loving husband; an amazing, supportive father; and a friend to everyone he met. This community will miss him greatly!
