We are the family of Clyde Jr. Marty Grimes, my mother Minnie Gimes and my sister Angela Grimes.
We are asking for contributions for Clyde's burial and memorial service. As many of you know, for the past few years Clyde was a resident of Exodus Recovery Program.
Clyde's burial and memorial of his ashes will be held Saturday August 6 , 2016 at 12:30 in Los Angeles at Rosedale Cemetary 1831 W. Washington Blvd. Los Angeles 90007.
The Contributions donated to Clyde's fund will go directly to paying for the burial and memorial expenses for Clyde. Any contributions remaining will be donated to the Exodus Recovery Program in Los Angeles in Clyde's name to help others, as he was helped.
Clyde Jr. was a wonderful and talented person who gave so much to others through his huge personality and his groundbreaking music in the LA Ska/Mod scene. Clyde was at the forefront of the two-tone movement here in LA during the early 80's. He brought people of all races together through the love of his music. He deserves to be buried with honor and remembered for all that he gave to the world.
The sudden and unexpected death of Clyde brought expenses to our family that we had not planned for. Your contributions would be of enormous help to our family and our appreciation for them is heartfelt. At this difficult and sorrowful time we will honor Clyde for all that he gave to the world throuh his music and his soul. Our gratitude is beyond words. Thank you for helping us help Clyde.
