Fred's Road to Recovery

Hello everyone, my name is Sharisse and I'm the daughter of Fred Garcia.
Fred is a loving and giving person, for so many reasons. He has worked his entire life to not only provide for his family but, to ensure that his two children and loved ones always had the best for themselves. He has opened his heart and home up to many people by offering them a place to live and a home of love for those when they did not have. He is not just an incredible dad but, he is an amazing person first.
In 2011, he had an accident at work and severely injured his leg and back. Since then, he has been out of work and in and out of doctors trying to figure out why he has not recovered from this accident.
A few weeks ago, a doctor was concerned with his blood levels and sent him for further testing. The results came back with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
With that, he has just recently had a surgery performed to save the remaining bone left in his left leg and is in the process of rehabilitation. A physical therapist and nurse now come to the house once a week.
The cancer has now spread to all of his bone marrow and he must undergo chemotherapy treatment (by pill and injection) before the doctors can move forward. Fortunately our insurance covers some of the medical expenses; unfortunately not all of it. With chemotherapy unexpectedly beginning this week and with the remaining costs of surgery, our family has all began to make sacrifices in order to ensure that his bills are paid. They are incredibly expensive.
I am asking for your support to help pay for his ongoing treatment and medical bills. Any donation helps, weather that be $5 or $50.
Our family would love to see my father become healthy again- to live out his dream of being able to fish all day and to spoil his grandchildren. He deserves it.
