Pat's Road to Recovery

The reason that we built this page is to let all of Pat's friends know what is going on, and give them a chance to contribute to his recovery. Being a friend of Pat's, you already know what a kind and generous person he is.
You may have noticed that you haven't seen much of Pat in the last year. Here is why.
When we visited him in the hospital we were stunned to learn of the gravity of his condition. His kidney function is eroding -- down to 12% functionality. That coupled with his diabetes has created a very serious and life threatening condition.
He has been in and out of the hospital and will likely be connected to a dialysis machine, til the condition changes or a kidney donor is found.
Of course Pat doesnt want to bother anybody -- and I hope he doesn't get too upset at us for doing this -- but we want to make sure he is taken care of and that all of you -- his friends -- have a chance to contribute to his recovery.
There are some staggering financial challenges ahead for Pat. Anything you can do to help, including words of encouragement, will be greatly appreciated and will make all the difference in the months ahead, as he takes on this incomprehensible challenge.
