Here's An update my mom has passed way on 6/10/19 in the hospital in ICU on a ventilator her heart stopped and the got it back after 20 minutes of working on her and got her to ICU but her heart stopped again and they could not restart it that time her funeral was very expensive and the medical are very high please donate and share to help me pay her bills and keep her memory alive thank you everyone

my name is Adam Brandes. I set up this page to help my mom. Last November 2015 my mom went to the doctor for an infection in her leg and and was put immediately in the hospital to get medical care. She was doing good and was going to be sent home.
Then out of nowhere SHE COULD NOT BREATHE AND WAS PUT ON OXYGEN IN THE HOSPITAL. HER OXYGEN LEVEL WAS DROPPING INTO THE 60S; THE NORMAL IS MID 90S. SHE WAS RUSHED TO ICU AND PUT ON A VENTILATOR FOR THREE DAYS DUE TO BOTH HER LUNGS FILLED WITH FLUID. SOME DOCTORS SAID SHE MAY NOT LIVE THROUGH THE NIGHT.
After three nights in ICU she was able to leave ICU and go back to a hospital room on a high flow oxygen. She spent 30 days in the hospital. Now she is home and is on oxygen 24 hours a day. She has to have help every day due to her poor health.
There is good news! There is an experimental medical treament to try to get her lungs to heal. It is stem cell treatment, but it is very expensive and not covered by insurance. It is out of town and it is VERY HARD for her to travel. Even though the treatments are only four hours away, she is in a wheelchair and has pain even when travelling in an SUV. She needs help when she travels. Again the cost is very high and is out of pocket. She has had one round of stem cell treatments so far. She is doing better and is on a lower amount of oxygen now. But more stem cell treatments are recommended every six months to a year. If she can not get stem cell treatments due to the cost of it she could DIE. She is still in a hospital bed at home but is working very hard to get out of it and get back in her bed. Since the stem cell treatments she is able to go out and do a few things during the day but it's VERY HARD.
My Dad died 18 years ago. It's just been my mom and me. She has been unable to work due to multiple strokes with the most recent just a few months ago. My mom is on over 30 different medicines a day!!! Even with insurance the cost of copays is thousands of dollars each month!!! The cost of personal care is not covered by insurance at all. This is another out of pocket cost.
My mom is disabled on a fixed income.
Money raised will be used for the following:
1. PERSONAL CARE
2. PRESCRIPTION COPAYS FOR OVER 30 MEDICINES A DAY
3. REHABILITATION
4. STEM CELL TREATMENTS
