Malia needs everyone's help

Malia is a beautiful 16yr girl with a wonderful heart who has battled many years a rare congential blood disorder Severe Chronic Neutropenia but recently Dr's told us her bone marrow is failing her causing her complete immune system to shut down as well.  From birth to age 10yrs Malia has spent multpile days in the ICU. At age 11yrs Malia went into remission but just recently relapsed. While she was in ICU fighting we learned that her complete bone marrow is failing her as a result of effecting her immune system this being the primary medical condition and her severe neutropenia as a secondary. Test that are needed threw genetics unfortunately are not being covered by all 3 insurances she has. We are at a hold with treatment that could  save her life treatment unless we raise the money to preceed. These test she needs are extremely important and very very expensive. Once these test are done Malia will move forward with treatments and the search for a bone marrow transplant donor. Malias bone marrow failure is causing her to fight off life-threatening symptoms. Infections resulting in neutropenia should be treated as emergencies and she was just recently admitted to ICU for septis shock. Coverage for the most common gram-positive and gram-negative organisms are covered with broad-spectrum antibiotics, a single antibiotic generally is sufficient in normal causes but Malia has a anaphylaxis reaction to all the major antibiotics and is limited to one which she recently developed a severe reaction to. Dr's said she has no coverage and if she goes septic again we will loose her.

Sepsis, pneumonias, urinary tract infections, and cellulitis with bacterial organisms are common complications of neutropenia which is now life threatening for Malia. We ask to help her in the fight for her life.
My name is Crystal Yakkey  and I am Malias mother and I do want to make aware that all money raised is to pay for medical testing and treatments that her 3 insurance companies do not cover.  myself dad sister and Malia her family currently live in Menifee and all medical services are at  Children's Hospital-San Diego and due to out of network not all cost are covered so all funds are used for Malias medical cost. The most important test so far was a $7,000 out of pocket test called Whole Exome Sequencing that was not covered due to being a genetic test but we are so happy to say with all your donations and support the cost  has been met and today allowed the blood draw to take place and  sent off.  The test was done as financial payment has been met from all the love and support you have shown.  Malia, myself, her dad and her sister are so grateful for all the support so far. The remaining amount of funds being raised from the 7k to 15k will be used to help hospital bills already sent to us for payment and to help for future treatments that insurance may not cover.
