This is a $10 Challenge. If 2500 people give $10 we will reach our goal.
Based in Traverse City, Michigan, PEACE Ranch rehabilitates rescue horses to help people that have experienced significant trauma through abuse and neglect. Horses often come to the ranch to fearful to be touched but begin to trust through compasionate, relationship oriented, training. Foster kids, Veterans, and many other folks familier with the suffering casued by serious trauma identify with, and find hope in,the horse's stories.
Volunteers help take care of the horses and the ranch year round. Each horse gets individual attention and lots of love. This support is vital to helping PEACE horses to heal and maintain excellent health.
PEACE Ranch is an outreach of Paraklesis Inc., 501c3 charitable organization. This Gofunme campaign will fund the care and upkeep of the therapeutic herd of 18 horses. Costs include hay, suppliments, and regular worming, veterinarian, and farrier care. In addition, and if able we would like to purchase a small utility vehicle to help maintain pastures, pull a drag to maintain our arena and pull the manure spreader. The vehicle cost is less than 10% of the total project.
