Janice Tiborcz-Myers' Cancer Fight

Our mother has worked for the past 26 years. On February 11, 2016 she went in for a colonoscopy and was immediately admitted to the hospital. She was diagnosed with colon cancer. A large tumour was removed days later and she learned she now has a colostomy. The cancer has spread to other organs and she is still undergoing chemotherapy. She is a candidate for a life-saving surgery at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto in October. She is doing everything to fight this disease. She has not received employment insurance since April, and her CPP is less than half of her salary. The expenses of her nutritionals, drugs, colostomy supplies, vitamin C drip, and dietary needs total more than $1000 per week. 

When we feel strong it is easy to forget about the sickness of others. In strength must come the wisdom to act with gentle kindness and generosity for those in need. It is in the ability to aid that we show our real strength and compassion.
