Dreaming of family bike rides!

We all have dreams for our families! One dream that the Crapia family has is to be able to go on family bike rides. This is something that most people take for granted and it is something that this family should not have to worry about. Their oldest child Ian has Lennox Gastaut Syndrome and if they had a wheelchair bike for him, they would be able to comfortably take him for bike rides with the family. This is something that would make Ian happy and he deserves a break considering he has multiple epileptic seizures daily, sometimes over 20 seizures in one day.

I am a neighbor of the family and recently met them and got to know them well. I am in awe of the mother that Shannon is to all 5 of her kids. When I saw her post this bike on Facebook with the words "Dreaming of family bike rides", I knew that I had to do something. I also knew that many people would feel the same way and want to help make this dream come true. Everyone should be able to take a bike ride with all of their kids. The bike will be about $6000 with tax. Let's share this page and see if we can get enough money raised. Anyone is welcome to drop money off at my business in Frankfort. (The Rustic Barn, 11 S. White Street, Suite 202, Frankfort IL 60423) and anyone is welcome to do seperate fundraisers such as bake sales or car washes to contribute to the funds.  If we raise over $6000, the extra money will be used for Ian's other needs.

I will not stop until Ian has this bike! But please help me make that happen. I can not do it on my own! I know that Shannon, Dan, Ian and the rest of the kids will have the most wonderful time taking bike rides together very soon because I know the world is full of wonderful people just like them!
