In February of 2016, Grant Pearson experienced a severe discomfort in his lower back. Soon after, medical professionals diagnosed his pain as Sciatica, or compression of a spinal nerve - a common occurrence for a man of his age (55). Grant immediately took steps to seek relief through physiotherapy, chiropractic, wave therapy, acupuncture and massage therapy. Nothing seemed to help. The pain just became more debilitating, causing Grant to suffer sleepless nights and agonizing days.
After attempting a wide range of costly and ineffective treatments and tests, Grant finally received a CT scan which revealed the horrific truth. What was thought to be Sciatica was actually a very large tumor pressing against his Sciatic nerve. The scan further revealed an additional tumor in Grant’s pancreas that had metastasized to his liver.
Grant is a loving husband, supportive father, and proud new grandfather of 17-month Emma. He is a former police officer, an active member of the community, and a hardworking businessman who runs the family business with the help of his wife Karen and son Scott.
Just months ago, Grant was enjoying life but this joy has been stripped from him. In an effort to battle his devastating prognosis, Grant’s family is looking to send him to the Envita Medical Center in Arizona where he will receive chemotherapy along with non-toxic, evidence-based medicine that targets cancer cells through a sophisticated “whole body” cancer treatment program. Success stories from the medical center are endless! The challenge with the plan is that Grant must receive treatments Monday thru Friday for 10-14 weeks in Arizona and the treatments are costly. Not only will it take an emotional toll on the family, it also makes it difficult for Karen and Scott to maintain business throughout this challenging time.
