Renfrew County Summer Camp Fund

1 out of every 9 children in Renfrew County lives in poverty.  Often, parents and caregivers struggle just to make it through the month,  let alone send their kids to summer camp. Since 1980, donations to the Darlene Aikens Summer Camp Fund has sent thousands of Renfrew County children in need to summer camp.  Studies show a summer camp experience increases a child's self-esteem, self-worth and social skills.  Just as important, camp creates a lifetime of happy memories that a child can treasure for a lifetime.  Your donations will go to work right here in Renfrew County.  We currently need funding for 45 more children to reach our goal of sending 250 kids to summer camp.  Can you help?  The average cost of sending a Renfrew County child to camp is $300, or a donation of any amount is so greatly appreciated.  We thank you so much for your support, and so does a child heading to camp this summer!
