Medical and legal fees for baby



Hi I am mum to a beautiful young lady Beck(Rebecca) who has just gotten married last year to a her soulmate Will (William).
They would love to expand their little family and have a baby, but Beck can't carry a baby due to medical reasons.

She was born with a congenital heart condition which could endanger her life if she carries a baby. Becks heart defect isn't common. She has only one ventricle and has had complex cardiac surgery. 
She's had 4 heart surgeries, first one when she was 2 weeks old and last one when she was 2 years and 10 months. Her cardiologist said that pregnancy puts an increased work load on the heart and can be very risky for her and the baby.

Wills sister has very kindly offered to be their surrogate. She is making a really precious gift to Beck and Will.
Surrogacy laws do not permit a surrogate to receive any money. Altruistic surrogacy is the only type of surrogacy legal in Australia. It is when a surrogate receives no financial gain for carrying a child. The intended parents can only pay the out of pocket expenses such as medical costs, time off work and legal fees.
The surrogate makes nothing from this except for the generous gift of knowing she has helped her brother and sister-in-law (not enough kind words for her generosity). 

The surrogacy fees are very expensive and can take several tries. Medicare or Private Health don't cover these costs as Rebecca isn't the one "carrying" the baby. Crazy I know!! There are a lot of legal costs as well as medical involved.

Beck and Will are a beautiful couple who deserve to have this happen for them. Beck has missed out on a lot in her life and I would really love for this to become a reality not just a dream for her
