Jocelyn Flynn brain tumor Journey

Donation protected

As of April last year Jocelyn was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She underwent 3 brain surgeries while in PICU for 3 weeks. Further diagnosis showed that the tumor was cancerous, stage III pilomyxoid astrocytoma. Due to the rare location of this type of tumor, 3 of the best labs in the country participated in the diagnosis for confirmation. Strains of the surgeries left her unable to walk, talk, and eat propertly. Jocelyn was hospitalized for an additional 3 weeks before continuing to one of the best rehabs in her local state. She went thru extreme rehab for several weeks to learn basic bodily functions again and directly after she would go through months of radiation and almost a full year of chemotherapy. She has frequent breathing treatments and several MRI's will continue to occur to follow up. Recently Jocelyn had an eye surgery to correct her vision which was disturbed during the resection of the tumor. Jocelyn has been a soldier through this process and I couldn't be more proud of her mental strength. All of the procedures, treatments, scans, and trips are costly and adding up. This page is to share Jocelyn's story and to allow anyone who may want to donate to do so. We are greatly appreciative of any assistance and will continue to post updates.
