Hope's Cancer Recovery

Donation protected

Hey everyone. You all know me. I've never done this before so you know I must need help.

Hope was abandon by her family and was found out on the streets. I got Hope from the shelter a year ago in March.  I'm single and I live alone so having Hope has been like a savior to me. After a long day, I look forward to coming home, hearing her purr, letting me know everything will be ok.

Turns out, Hope was not 3 years old when they gave her to me. She was 6 and now she's 7. She was spayed 3 weeks before I got her, which would have made her 6 years old. Because of this, Hope was just diagnosed with mammary cancer due to the tumor on one of her glands. This happens to cats who are spayed later in life.

Last week, she had a fever and an infection so she's on antibiotics right now. They took her blood and did a x-ray. As you can imagine, the visit in which I took Hope to the vet and had all of these tests done, costs $1300. That was all of my money for the rest of the month. In addition, I was scheduled to go on vacation starting July 20th to San Diego Comic Con. I had never been so I was trying to have enough money for hotel, etc.

Hope's tumor is a well-differentiated malignant tumor. and therefore, a biopsy and surgery need to be scheduled soon, meaning I will not be able to go on vacation, which is very upsetting but Hope is my daughter and her health means the world to me.

I am raising funds to help pay for Hope's biopsy and surgery. Any other time I could possibly afford it but since I'm low on funds, I'm not left with many options so I'm asking friends and family to help out as much as you can. Hope's surgery is scheduled for Friday, July 15th.

Hope is my world and I've been devasted since hearing the news. I'm upset with the agencies who messed up her age and even more upset because she is the sweetest, most precious thing in my life who doesn't deserve any of this. I haven't had the best luck with having cats of my own. My first cat was a shelter cat Penny who had been hit by a car and had issues with her pelvis preventing her from using the bathroom properly.  After about a year full of appointments, etc., I had to put her to sleep.

I would be extremely thankful to any of you who can help me out. I can even pay you back in the upcoming months. I just want Hope to be as healthy as possible and to enjoy the life she deserves with a parent who loves her.

Thanks.
