Karma’s Plea

This is the short story of Karma, our 10 week old puppy.

4 weeks ago we brought a little bundle of joy, Karma, into our home and she instantly became part of the family. My 16 months old daughter connected with Karma straight away and we thought that they would be lifelong friends.

Unfortunately, that happiness was snatched away from us when after a routine check up we found out that Karma has a rare bone condition that means she was born with no hip joints/femoral head in her back legs.

We were advised by our veterinarian to have our precious fur baby put to sleep, otherwise her life would be full of pain and suffering.

All hope seemed lost for Karma until we discovered a veterinary practice in the UK (Fitzpatrick Referrals) who can perform the type of surgery that would give this little baby a chance to live as long as we can get her there as soon as possible, yet in another cruel twist of fate, our pet insurance company would not cover the cost of this life saving surgery because we had ticked a box in the wrong place.

Time is of the essence and this plea is our final chance to save Karma.
