As many of you know Trenton was involved in a work related accident on August 29. He was taken by ambulance to Bronson hospital where they addressed his injuries and took him in for his first surgery where they used 4 screws to attach two of the fractures and repaired the main tendon running to his foot that was torn 3/4 of the way.  On August 31st he had a 2nd surgery where they went in and cleaned everything out. At this time they discovered that some of the skin did not survive.  A 3rd surgery was done on September 2nd to clean the area again and unfortunately a large portion of the skin did not survive. At this time his case had become more complex than Bronson was capable of handling and the decision was made to transport him to U of M for the remainder of his treatment.
Trenton was moved to U of M quicker than expected and the evening of September 2nd when he arrived a little before 11pm the doctors started to examine his wound, addressing his pain and coming up with a game plan. Trenton was taken back for surgery the following day, they amputated his big toe along with the entire inner part of his foot as it was very infected and a majority of the tissue (skin, muscle, tendons, blood vessels and nerves) did not survive.  At this point there was a real possibility Trent could lose his leg. On September 7th Trent went in for his 5th surgery. When they opened it up they found that a large portion of his outer foot, ankle and heel didnt survive. Considering that they've already had to amputate the inner portion of his foot and big toe that doesn't leave him enough to support his body and walk again.  The decision to amputate his leg was made. The doctor assured them that he would be able to walk, run, play basketball and drive again with a prosthetic.
Today September 9th Trent went in for his surgery at noon to amputate his leg below the knee. The doctors have been sending updates to Brian and Michelle letting them know he is okay. Updates will be given once he is out of surgery and in recovery.
For all of you who know Trenton he is a hard working kid for only being 15 years old. Working 2 jobs this summer to save money for his first truck. He was a member of the VHS basketball team,  played football for several years and enjoys his dogs Brodii and Macy as well as riding his 3-wheeler.
Trentons emotional health during this time has been absolutly amazing, he has been stong, upbeat, cracking jokes and positive (Thankfully for this he has been able to keep his parents, Brian and Michelle and sister Yazmene positive and upbeat as well).
On behalf of the family most importantly we ask for your continued words of encourgament and prayers. Your outreach, prayers, support and concern have been very humbling to the family and we cant THANK each and everyone of you enough for the outpouring of support you have shown. The cards and words of encourgament has lifted the spirits of Trenton during these past few weeks and we THANK YOU for that.
This Go-Fund me is set up for strictly for Trenton and he will be recieveing the donations to use at his disgression.
