On August 23 it will be 6 months since her brain surgery. This is to let everyone know how good Alexis is doing. She just celebrated her upcoming 11th birthday with a big waterslide party. Alexis is the daughter of Kim Boudreaux. This is her story from when she first became sick. Alexis made 10 on August 15

Alexis should be in school but she's home sick. She should be jumping on her trampoline but she can't because of her headaches. Many of the things a 10 year old should be doing she's not. It started about 3 year ago with the nausea and the stomach aches. Kim took Alexis to doctor after doctor, they couldn't find anything . Then she started having problems in school, not focusing is what they said . Maybe it's ADD they said. When it was neither of these, it was Petite Mal / Absence Seizures. Around January last year her personality changed , that's when we knew something was wrong. Finally after convincing the doctors to do an MRI they found a brain tumor. The doctors here in Louisiana were undecided what to do. She sees an oncologist, neurologist, a neurosurgeon, a physiologist, a pediatrician and a gastro doctor. Ochsner's neurosurgeon says operate and children's say wait, so Kim decided to take her to Texas' children's hospital for a 3rd opinion . They ran many tests, a 7 day EEG , a pet scan, Nuclear brain scans and MRI's. This has been a hard year but the doctors at Texas children's have decided to do surgery.

When she gets out of the hospital she has to remain in Houston from 1 to 2 weeks. (Food, hotels, and Uber ). Then when she gets better we have to put her in a private home school to try to catch her up in school. She's missed a year of regular school. Your money is being put to good use. Plus she has to come back to Houston in 3 months. All the donations pay for these expenses. Thanks for your help❤❤
