SAVING SUSIE

Susie LoRusso is my girlfriend, the love of my life , the bravest woman I've ever known and this is her story... Susie LoRusso's life has been turned upside down ever since April of 2015 when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. In June of 2015 Susie underwent a bilateral mastectomy only to find out that her Cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. Susie immediately had surgery to remove all 32 nodes from her left arm in order to prevent her Cancer from spreading. The amount of pain that Susie endured from both surgeries is impossible to put into words, yet, she never complained or said "why me?" Once Susie was well enough to get out of bed and her sutures were healed her 4 month battle with Chemotherapy began. Susie lost her hair, couldn't hold down food, had constant diarrhea and vomiting only to be topped off by excruciating muscle cramps from the poison being pumped through her veins. When Chemo ended, Susie underwent reconstructive breast surgery. Susie thought this third surgery would be the end of her fight with this demon that is Cancer, but apparently life had other ideas.
During Susies recouperation from surgery she received the news that no parent should ever have to receive, her eldest son Michael tragically passed away. This brave woman who was dropped to her knees in grieving agony, pulled herself up and with a chest full of staples and sutures, greeted and hugged over 1,500 people that came to pay respect at Michaels services. With barely enough time to even let Michael's passing set in, Susie received her pathology report which revealed that her Cancer was hormonal and that she now needed a full Hysterectomy to prevent her cancer from rapidly spreading. Susie again found herself on an operating table except this time with a broken heart in tow. Susie faced these obstacles as she has every other obstacle in her life... With her head held high and her extreme faith firmly in place.
Unfortunately, Susies health coverage has only covered 80% of these tremendous medical bills leaving her the remaining 20% to pay out of her own pocket. These bills are astronomical and Susie is simply unable to pay them all.
