Joclyn and Drew's youngest son, Carrick has a horrible skin/autoimmune disease. She has been to every doctor, specialist, holistic practitioner from South Chicago up through to Wisconsin and as far south as possible.No one can diagnose, treat, or help him. They have tried every kind of topical medication, oral medication, food alteration, diet changes, etc you can imagine.He has lived his 3 years in pain, miserable and with very low quality of life. He has had to live in footy jammies to avoid him scratching, irritating, touching and causing further infections to his skin.They have been referred to and are a candidate for a clinical center in Colorado that takes in these types of cases.Joclyn did the foot work and got everything set up with this medical facility and her insurance provider, United Health Care. However the facility is now reluctant to accept United Health Care, because UHC has been delinquent in making and honoring payments to this facility.Joclyn & Drew have had to come up with the initial $8000 on their own to get Carrick the appointment. She will continue to endure the medical bills of approximately up to $30,000 just for this visit.Joclyn works as a 911 dispatcher at Kancomm, the primary dispatch center of Kankakee County, Illinois and is also going to school to become an RN. Drew is a Lieutenant with Limestone Fire Department and a paramedic for Riverside Medical Center both in Kankakee County. They also have a son, Thayne that enjoys playing hockey and is a great goalie.
