We are Jade & Maddy (soon to be husband & wife :-) team), and the faces behind Tibbs & Bones!
Named after our two cats, Tibbs & Bones was first created in 2013, where we began our journey in the fashion world as early-rising market goers, selling vintage products at local Melbourne markets. After an interest in online sales, we decided to branch out, opening an Etsy store selling our hand crafted flower crowns, vintage men’s/women’s clothing and accessories.
It was during this time that our focus became clear & we opened a small online store, offering hand-selected vintage along with our favourite new brands. By late 2014 we had found our true calling & LOVE in the fashion world - new & must-have pieces from a small range of independent designers. These pieces had a slight edge or point of difference to the norm - and that's what made us smile.
Realising our calling, we made the conscious & joint decision that building our DREAM online (and eventually bricks & mortar) store is what we were 100% focused on doing; filled with our favourite selection of accessory & clothing designers.
In late 2015 we saw a real desire for our product to be available in the physical form. A Pop Up Lease became available in our local community of Northcote & we decided to give it a go!
Filled with beautiful & niche products, people were eager to come in & experience everything our store had to offer. With decorations by local Melbourne artists, it was an extremely exciting space that we were proud to showcase to our customers. After a successful 2 months, our Pop Up lease came to an end & we knew then that within the physical realm is where our store needs to be.
Being big advocates for supporting local talent, many of the brands we carry are that of Melbourne or Australian designers. We also create a range of our own products, as well as stocking a bunch of incredible independent international designers.
Fast-forward to 2016, Tibbs & Bones now has over 100k followers across its online social networks & a loyal, local & international customer base. But there is just one thing missing... a physical STORE!
Both possessing a deep love for our business, we have complimentary skill sets, filled with the same focus, drive & determination (and LOVE) to grow Tibbs & Bones to the skies. And who wouldn’t want to have a business with their best friend?
That being said, we are excited to announce that the time has come for the Tibbs & Bones FLAGSHIP store to be born. In Aug/Sept 16 of this year, we will be launching our very first store – we are just BURSTING with excitement!!!!!

What will your donation go towards?
Your donation will help fund the fit out & LAUNCH of the Tibbs & Bones flagship store… The store is going to be a space like no other. With interchanging artist installations, street art & stocked to the brim with Australian & international labels. As well as these key elements to our store, your donation will go towards…
- Sufficient stock levels
- Internal & external painting (walls & floors)
- External signage
- Construction of fitting rooms
- Demolition of partitioned walls
- Rewiring of light fittings
- Installation of racking & shelving systems
- Installation of hanging wall systems
- Internal sound system
- Marketing of store to local publications
- Promotional flyers & online advertising
- Assistance with funding of opening party
- Custom swing tags & carry bags
- Chrome Clothes Hangers
