Hi there,
I am Tiffany and I am grasping at straws here to try to help my dad and step mom out with the heavy burden that has been placed on them. Anyone that knows my dad and Carolyn know that they would give the last of anything they have to anyone in need.
Larry is 56 years old and we found out yesterday, after transferring to another hospital from a hospital that threw their hands up and said there was nothing else that can be done for him, that he is in complete heart failure. They stated that his heart is as weak as it can be without being dead. He is on a continuous drip IV that is pumping his heart for him and he has to prepare for surgery within the next two weeks. He also has to remain at the hospital until this surgery takes place. The surgery is hundreds of thousands of dollars and is his last chance at life. It is very high risk but he is willing to take the risk rather than not doing anything at all and giving up. If the surgery does not work, he will have to remain in the hospital for months while waiting on a transplant.
As if this is not hard enough, their lease is up on their home and they are supposed to be out of their house by Monday. We are scrambling trying to find them somewhere to live around the hospital. All of their money has been drained into the continuous hospital bills and earnest money on a house that fell through and they will not give it back. We will also have to find movers because they cannot do it.
My parents have given up EVERYTHING to keep my dad in doctors offices and hospitals and attempt to pay the massive bills that come along with it. My step mom purely works to pay the doctor bills. She cannot even take these days off work to be with my dad because they are in desperate need at this time.
Literally anything will help at this point and I am trying to execute all options i can to assist them. Thank you for taking the time to hear this story and i appreciate anything that is given!
