Even super heros need a hand

My brother Nathan, his wife Courtney and his two sons Quinn and Lucian are super hero's. They wear onsies, capes and shirts to represent their strength. Right now, while they continue to to have the strength that only a family struggling with cancer can understand, they also need prayers, love and support. I have started this on Nathan's behalf as he would never ask for help. My brother is currently battling Cancer and while we are optimistic, there are challenges beyond the true fight that are very real. My brother is having all of his teeth removed to reduce the risk of infection that could be caused by the sores from the radiation and chemotherapy on his neck and throat. He may have to have a feeding tube put in to get his body to have the nutrients it needs to battle this disease. Nathan and Courtney are excellent parents and providers for their kids. Unfortunately neither have medical benefits or LTD through work to assist them during this time. Sick leave through EI only covers 16 weeks..... We were raised by 2 of the most hard working, giving, loving people I know. We were taught that nothing in life is handed to you and you need to work for what you want. We were taught the value of hard work and determination. We were taught to be givers not takers. We were taught its better to give than receive. We were taught to be self sufficient and independent. I know these are all good things and I am grateful but I think we forgot the part that it is ok to ask for help when you NEED it...not because you can't be bothered or because you just want something but when you genuinely need it. Well I am asking for your help... I am asking for your prayers, your positive thoughts and if you are able and feel moved to do so I am asking for a donation to help ease the burden of this battle for his family.
