The National Museum of World War II Aviation
Raise the Flag Campaign

The National Museum of World War II Aviation needs your help to build a flag plaza at the entrance of the museum's campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Opened to the public in 2012, this unique museum documents the role that military aviation played in the emergence of our nation as a world power during the Second World War.  Through its aircraft collection, exhibits, interactive displays and docent-led tours, the museum tells the story of our nation's tremendous technological advancements during the War and describes the lasting social and economic changes that were essential to the success of the Allied war effort.

Through close relationships with collectors around the nation, the museum displays a wide array of aircraft representing every aspect of America's involvement in World War II.  Most of the aircraft are meticulously restored to flying condition and are flown at the museum on public demonstration days.

For additional information about the museum, please visit our website at www.worldwariiaviation.org.

The Raise the Flag Campaign

The National Museum of World War II Aviation is run by volunteers.  In addition to other projects, the volunteers are raising funds for the design and construction of a flag plaza at the entrance to the museum.  The flag plaza will include landscaping, lighting, and a 40 ft. flag pole that will display the American flag during museum operating hours.  The flag plaza will also include guidance signs that will direct visitors to the museum's public parking area.

Funds raised for this project will go toward acquisiton of the flag pole, flags, and construction materials for the plaza.  Design work will be donated.  Labor for construction of the project will be provided by museum volunteers.

We Need Your Help!

We've heard from a number of our visitors that we should have an American flag flying at the entrance to the museum.  We agree and are asking for your help to make this a reality.

The National Museum of World War II Aviation is a 501(c)3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code and all donations to the museum are tax exempt.  A receipt will be provided for all donations to this project.

Thank you for your support for the museum and the Raise the Flag campaign!
