On Friday, August 5th, 2016, Nick Dennis collapsed unexpectedly in his home and was rushed to the hospital. Soon after he went into surgery in an attempt to repair an aneurysm that was found and reduce the swelling in his brain, but the damage was too severe. By Saturday evening, it was determined that Nick’s brain was no longer functioning and that he had passed away. As an organ donor, he remains on life support at the hospital surrounded by his devastated friends and family.
Nick was only 34 years old. He was a loving father, husband, son, sibling, and friend. He and his wife, Amy, were in the process of raising three fantastic kids. His entire family is reeling from the suddenness and finality of what has happened.
On top of dealing with the deep, overwhelming hole his absence has left and will continue to leave, Amy must also consider hospital and funeral expenses, and after that, providing for her children as a single mother without her life partner.
