IVF procedure

After much debate and internal searching my wife and I have decided to turn to and ask our friends and family for their help in something that is very dear to both of us.

For the last 6 years my wife and I, due to various medical reasons; have tried unsuccessfully to have children.

We have been to numerous doctors for a number of tests that I've lost count of.

We finally landed with our second fertility doctor and after undergoing more tests we attempted several IUI procedures at the cost of a few thousand dollars a piece.

We were recently told by the doctor that the only way we would achieve our goal of having children is to do an IVF procedure.

The costs of the procedure are staggering at a total cost of $22,000 upfront. My insurance covers zero. Each additional cycle if the first is unsuccessful is around $5,000

This includes the medications needed as well as anesthesia.

We have managed to save up $7,000 on our own and are asking for help to raise a portion of the $15k remaining to make it manageable.

In the event that a miracle happens and we do not have to do this procedure, any funds acquired or anything extra will be donated to a charity for children.

This has been a very difficult thing for us to navigate and we are hopeful that with our friends and family a solution is within sight.
