Livingston made it through surgery & he is stable!
Total medical bill not yet known. This will be an extremely expensive recovery process. On top of everything the poor thing is heartworm positive!
Pre-op X-rays revealed he was shot. There's still shrapnel in his little body. Please continue to donate & share. His medical bill is going up and we want to see this through to complete recovery for this precious boy's new life ahead! We do not yet know total cost. He is only 1 year old and needs a lot of serious medical attention. He deserves our support! He survived 2 weeks of pain & misery...

Livingston is his name because that's where he was found & it has the word "living" in it! It's the perfect name for this boy. What a day! We cannot thank the donors enough for your generous gifts to pay for vetting to see Livingston through to recovery. He will go to the vet first thing in the morning. He is well cared for tonight with fluids & meds. God's hand was on this mission. It was a pure miracle that we found him as quickly as we did, thinking we would be out there all night looking for him, then took a wrong turn and found him down a pathway the neighbors never recommended we check. He'd created a little bed for himself on the porch of an abandoned house at Lake Livingston. In this bed were old carpet paddings, a cigarette carton, a broom, etc. All trash. He was left for dead. When he saw us he raised his head in greeting & allowed us to scoop him up & carry him to safety.
What a gentle, loving boy. He has acted visibly thankful for his rescue today.

K9-Kare in Alvin is taking on this project with a committed medical foster. We are a small non-profit rescue & can't commit to saving him without funds. We MUST have the funds to do this.We don't know how much it will cost but our estimate at the minimum is $2,000.I am leaving my house right now 1:00 pm on Monday to go get him.Please donate to make this possible! He's been out there for 2 WEEKS alone & starving & injured!!!!!!!
