Help Logan fight Polymicrogyria

Donation protected
Kyle Rushton is a Lake County Firefighter. His son's name is Logan. He has a condition known as polymicrogyria that has affected his left temporal and partial frontal lobes as well as the right temporal lobe. This condition causes an excess of gyria (folds in the brain) that leads to seizures and delayed development. Currently the cause of the condition is unknown, and the only treatments for it are medicine to control the seizures or brain surgery to remove the affected areas. He was diagnosed in April and is currently being treated with medication, with promising results. If the medication does not work, the next step is the surgery. The neurologist will be monitoring his progress over the next several months to determine if this is necessary. Either way, this condition will have lifelong consequences. Luckily his case seems to be on the lower end of the spectrum as far as the symptoms. There are children that have much worse symptoms, some to the extent that they cannot even eat solid foods. His condition could still worsen to this point, but the neurologist seems to think that is not likely. Any and all help for Logan is GREATLY appreciated.

The Lake County Firefighters Charity is helping raise money to cover the medical bills that are racking up that are not covered by insurance.  ALL money raised from this fund raiser goes to the family to help with the mounting medical bills.
