My 11-year-old daughter Lola will be spending her entire summer recovering from spinal fusion surgery. She will need 24/7 care for the next 4-6 weeks. I am humbly creating this campaign to make sure that I can stay home with her and still provide for her.
2016 has been the Year of Ups and Downs. for us. After 6 months of unemployment, I finally got a job in April. But less than 2 months later, before I could even recover financially, I need to take unpaid medical leave to care of Lola. (But hey, at least we have insurance now!)
I am hoping there are not going to be too many outside medical expenses, but you never know. At the very least, I'd like to be able to pay rent and living expenses for the next couple of months.
This has been so hard for me to post, but a friend told me that pride doesn't pay the bills. I learned that the hard way when I was unemployed, and I don't want us to suffer like that again.
