Uganda road safety awareness cause

There is a growing silent killer happening in and around my precious home land Kampala, Uganda. This killer is "death by motor cycle (famously known as BODA BODAS) accidents"
Due to the nature of development within Uganda; many citizens, I inclusive tend to rely on this form of transportation as it is not only convinient but it is the fastest way to get from one point to another in an ever growing economic city like Kampala. This is also further evidenced from the fact that many citizens find this mode of transport cheaper compared to the rest.
However one thing that has been over looked is safety for the drivers as well as passengers that use this transportation mode.
Unfortunately it has taken the recent demise of my dearest friend and sister Juliet Tumwesigye for me to talk about this. This is very fresh in my heart as she lost her life to one of such accidents.
My plea is to help me and the foundation that we have created for Juliet Tumwesigye to raise awareness for road safety to the citizens especially youth who rely on this transporation as well as the motorists that drive.
The donations received will go to the following;
1. Purchase of Hi-visibility vests and helmets for motorcyclists especially Bodaboda owners to enable clear visibility even when they work at night. I realise that the Boda Boda situation is overly politicized so i want to approach it from the Boda Boda users' point of view
2. Education of youth and Boda Boda owners about the importance of road safety through the Juliet Tumwesigye Foundation
3. Technical education on provision of first aid to Boda Boda owners so as to help combat the death of any beloved one whose life could be saved by basic first aid skills.
