Bill is a kind and generous man that is well known in Woolgoolga and the Coffs Coast. He is always out to help people or just to make someone feel special. You may have been a recipient of one of his many random acts of kindness. He regularly helps with the Helping the Hungry breakfast, posting signage, rallying participants, lugging food, cooking bbq's and making people feel welcome.
Bill has been living out of his car, and now van for a number of years. On Wednesday April 27 Bill was devastated by the news that his van and his worldly belongings had been set on fire.
He works 1 day a week doing garden maintenance for a nursing home in Coffs. Not only was this Bill's home it was his transport to work.
He had insurance but is waiting to hear what it covers, basically it will be the current market price and some contents but will not cover the internal set up.
Bill is a proud man and would rather give than receive but so many in our wonderful community are wanting to help he has agreed to accept some assitance to set himself up again. First priority will be to buy a new van then outfit it to become his home once again.
This campaign is obviously for cash donations but if you have vouchers or items to donate please drop them into Lisa and Chelsea at the Key Employment office, 2/9 Market Street, Woolgoolga (down lane next to Woodsey's Wheels)
