Villaruz Family IVF Expenses

Hi everyone. I've decided to start a gofundme to seek help for IVF (In vitro Fertilization) in behalf of my wife, Catelyn. For those of us who is not familiar with the term, it's the process of fertilization by extracting eggs, retrieving sperm samples and then manually combining an egg and sperm.  The embryo is then transferred to the uterus. We've been married 6 years and been trying to conceive for 5 years now but without success. I know that some couple have waited way longer but my wife, after having undergone 2 surgeries due to severe, stage 4 Endometriosis (is a female disease in which endometrial-like tissue is found outside of the uterus in other parts of the body. Stage 4 or severe stage means the disease is actively infiltrating and affecting several organs in the pelvic region and the ovaries) has a very low chance of giving birth. Hence, the campaign. Just a bit of a background, last December  2017 we have received what we've prayed for a long time. Catelyn was pregnant. But after 5 weeks, she had a miscarriage. I don't have words to express the sadness I felt that day but it was my wife who truly felt the lost. The day after we received the news, its seemed that life left her eyes for the first time. I was shaken. Regardless, as a husband, I have to be there, to be at her side, to be her strength knowing that I, myself, is in need of strength too. I don't think i have ever prayed that much as I did after that incident. I tried to be positive and encouraged my wife to remain hopeful.  The following month, January 2018, we found out she's pregnant again. I have a feeling this would be it. We consulted our doctor and he advised Catelyn to be on bedrest for 1 week just to be sure she's not stressing herself too much. You should have seen the look on my wife's face upon hearing the news. The glow was back in her eyes. But the joy we've felt was dampen when, after 5 weeks, she had another miscarriage. I'm not sure how i can described our emotions back then. Its like  a roller coaster of a feeling, one minute your high and the next your in dread. We were referred to a fertility clinic and was advised to undergo IUI (Intrauterine Insemination is a fertility treatment that involves placing sperm inside a woman's uterus to facilitate fertilization. The goal is to increase the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently increase the chance of  fertilization). She had done three IUI's, from June 2018 to August 2018 but did not yield positive results. The next and probably the best option is for Catelyn to do IVF. The Doctor suggested the procedure would provide a much better chance of pregnancy. My wife is in her mid-thirties which means this is a ripe period for the IVF procedure as the percentage of conception decreases with age. Currently, Catelyn is working at a Daycare Center in Calgary, looking after toddlers. Somehow, her experience taking care of the little ones further fortifies her desire to have a child of her own. As a husband, I too desire to be a father one day; to share the things I've learned from my dad and pass it to my child.  I look forward to that day. We have our doubts and fears on whether we would be able to overcome the trials that comes along our way. But we try to remain faithful and hopeful. I really don't see why God would put such a desire in our hearts without Him ever fulfilling it.  We know He has plans,  a timeline and all He needs from us is to trust Him. Not our will but He's be done. I'm appealing to your gentle and generous hearts for support in this campaign. We aim to raise $18,000.00 to cover the whole IVF procedure. If we can do this within the next 12 months that would be amazing. In advance, we appreciate all the help. Equally important are your prayers. Please include us in them. Nonetheless, my wife and I are still trying to conceive. God bless and Thank you!
