Hello everyone! My name is Angela Marie Overton and I am the current reigning Ms. Woman Puerto Rico United States 2016.
I am raising funds so that I may participate in the Ms. Woman United States competition where I will be vying for the National title. I have been competing in pagaents since I was 15 years old and thru pageantry been given the unique opportunity to serve as a role model in my community. I've had the privilege to contribute to many incredible causes (i.e. Freedom Veterans of America) and my personal platform which is fighting the stigma of homelessness thru education, commmunication and action. Each experience has been a journey in personal discovery thru helping those around me.
The funds raised on this page will help me pay for the all the expenses involved in competing which include required fees, travel, and lodging. My goal is to raise $2500 of which 80% will be spent covering the above mentioned expenses. The addtional 20% will go as a donation to the Miami Rescue Mission which provides food, housing, and medical care to the homeless in Miami. If I exceed my goal I will increase the amount donated to 25%. My hope is to have these funds by July 15th, 2016.
