Solidarity Fridge Ministry

The Solidarity Fridge is a ministry of Salem UMC in Conway, AR.  Our goal is to share the leftovers of Conway with the hungry.  Restaurants, Churches, other groups/organizations, and individuals who have leftover food can deposit that food into one of our solidarity fridges.  Then, anyone who is in need of a meal may visit the fridge and take what they need.   

As Americans, we waste around 70 Billion pounds of food each year.  The Salem Solidarity Fridge is one way we can help reduce this amount and make a difference in the lives of the residents of Conway, AR. 

To make this ministry and dream a reality we need your help to purchase refrigerators, publicize our cause, and partner with local restaurants, churches, schools, and other organizations.  Our goal of $2,000.00 is what we believe is necessary to begin our ministry with one possibly two small refrigerators, as well as publicity and resources to partner with local restaurants, non-profits, and individuals.
