Kimberly Lagos's Cancer Fund

On Monday December 18th our dear friend Kimberly Lagos was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung and brain cancer. She was unable to organize her thoughts and having problems responding verbally to people.  As a result, Kimberly has begun aggressive radiation therapy on a daily basis to be followed by chemotherapy treatments to aide in her possible recovery.  With successful treatments she could extend her quality of life for several more years.


All of this falls on the heels of her husband’s long road to recovery.  Just two weeks ago George was given a clean bill of health after his 7th knee surgery in almost 3 years.  Over two years ago after his first knee replacement surgery George contracted a serious infection and came close to losing his leg. Six surgeries and three knee replacements later he is finally on the mend.  Unfortunately since his first knee surgery, he has been unable to work and as a result his company let him go. Now that Kimbery is unable to work, their financial situation is bleak to say the least.  With the accumulation of bills incurred as a result of George’s surgeries coupled with Kimberly’s upcoming medical expenses they need additional financial help.  


To this end, we have set up this site so people can immediately donate whatever they can to help Kimberly and George through these difficult times.  Going through radiation and chemo treatments is hard enough to additionally have to worry about finances.  To help allow them to focus on Her life threatening illness, your donations will be used to pay for much needed medical treatment, accumulated medical expenses and household expenses.  Please give whatever you can to help aide with Kimberly’s recovery.
