Williams brothers baffling battle

Hello, my name is Karla Williams, I am writing to you today as a single mum on a mission to help my three lovely boys, Ernest 17, Elih 16 and Khaden 10.

Anyone who knows me,  knows that I rarely ask for help. Today, I have finally built up the courage to reach out and ask for help for my boys. All three of my boys are struggling with enormous health challenges, which have not been properly diagnosed and they have been classed as having a "rare condition" which means there is no funding available for research or tests. 
 
The boys experience many different symptoms on a day to day basis which include:
- Severe migraines, up to 50 a year
- Severe dehydration resulting in the need for intravenous fluids.
- Muscle wasting
- Low endurance tolerance
- Multiple food intolerances
- Allergies
- Ketotic episodes
- Fatigue
- Severe stomach cramps
- Nausea
- Eye ulcers
- Neurological damage resulting in seizures, memory loss, speech and  learning difficulties
- Anxiety

After searching tirelessly for almost 18 years, I truly believe I have finally found the cause! Incredibly, it is treatable!

However, this health condition isn’t fully understood in Australia, thorough testing isn’t yet available here so blood tests need to be sent to Europe to be confirmed.These tests cost between $500-$700 each plus transportation costs as well as expensive treatment which will be ongoing for up to 2 years.

We are fast approaching Ernest’s 18th birthday and I have come to realise over these many years, that through hard work and determination how close we are to discovering the final missing piece of this puzzle!

Obtaining a diagnosis would bring me one step closer to achieving the dream I’ve always had for my boys, which is for them to be free of illness and suffering and to have the quality of life that every child deserves.

I am 100% certain that once I can figure out the exact cause I can then help my boys make a full recovery.
