Andrew Carrillohttp://fox4kc.com/2016/06/08/freak-accident-at-lenexa-bar-nearly-severs-mans-arm-but-strangers-help-until-paramedics-arrive/ was the victim of a freak bicycle accident on Sunday June 5, 2016.  He was getting on his bike  and loaded down with umpire's gear, missed a step and went crashing through a window at a Lenexa sports bar.
The fall into the glass window nearly severed Andrew Carrillo's arm. With critical time passing, he yelled for help and thankfully a group he now calls his heroes stepped in.  One man ripped his shirt off and tied it around Andrew's arm, the other wrapped a belt around it.  For 12 minutes two men held on to the tourniquets before help arrived.  Andrew was taken by ambulance to Overland Park Regional Medical Center's trauma center and went into surgery right away.
He is currently still in the hospital but is due to be released on June 10th.  The doctors predict that Andrew will need two more surgeries to repair his arm.  Before the accident Andrew was on his way home from his second job that he had just started to bring in more income for himself and his son.  This injury was to his right and dominant arm.  Every day tasks will be a challenge.  He will no longer be able to work his second job and as a result this will hinder his ability to provide for his four year old, Christian.  With all the medical expenses and furture surgeries Andrew will be facing a large debt.  In addition to maintaining his regular expenses and focusing on making a full recovery he shouldn't have to worry about these unexpected bills.  Any help is greatly apprecited.  Thank you all and God bless!
