Help a family in need

Donation protected
We are a family in need. This is our story.

In September of last year we became in need of a home. My husband's mother was very ill and needed a place to live where she could be taken care of until she could get back on her feet, Seeing a need and knowing it would not get met otherwise and would leave her in a very unhealthy environment, we jumped. We found a house, quickly signed the lease to rent it, and moved. Since moving in, it's been less than grand.

While the house itself is in decent shape, there are problems. Problems we have contacted our rental company about. Problems that have been ignored now for 2 months. I confronted the owner of the company on Monday, June 6, and he was...less than accomodating. He didn't care that he had lied to both my husband and myself and he didn't care that the problems (sewer/septic smell, among other things) had not been fixed. He said none of the things wrong were of any detriment to us. So now, with our lease up in September, if we can wait that long, we find ourselves in the need to move again, sooner rather than later.

In this span of time my husband's mother has moved on to her own place and my mother has moved in. Things with her are not looking so well. She has been in and out of the hospital as well as long term stays in a occupational therapy facility. These incidents have led to her becoming behind on some bills, especially her car payment. The car was repossesed last night, June7, at 10pm. We have been scrambling all morning trying to make arrangements to get the car back.

It pains me to write this. It stings my pride. It makes me feel less than or that we're begging. I promise you that isn't our intention. My son isn't sleeping at night because he knows something is wrong. Last night was very traumatic for him. We are simply, as the title says, a family in need of help. We just need some extended kindness to get us over this hump.

The money will be used to recover the monies lost in trying to get the car back, moving expenses and the deposit to the new house. Anything that is left over, thouh that is extremely unlikely, will be used to further catch Mom up on her car payments. And while I know we should have a deposit being returned to us, I have a feeling the company will find any reason to keep it because of the confrontation or if they do return it, it will take great amounts of time. While the companny is not accreditied with the Better Business Bureah, there are still two compaints against them and both are for lengthy returns on deposits.

If you can see fit to give in any way, you will never know the depths of my grattitude. If you can't give, we understand. All we ask is that you share this on fb with your family and freinds to spread the word as far as we can. They say it takes a village. I never really believed that until now. We need a village. We need help and we are asking for it in the least invasive way we can think to do so. I will gladly repay any donations with thank you cards and crafted items.  Also, if you are considering donating, but would like to know numbers of monies needed, I will be glad to be as transparent as I can be.

From the very bottom of our hearts, we thank you for all potential kindnesses.
