Milo whose In need of Eye surgery!

$200 of $3,000 goal

Raised by 6 people in 35 months
Milo is a 1 year old Saint Bernard, me and my husband got him a few days after our wedding at 9 weeks old after my husbands dog was tragically killed in an accident. When he was 8 weeks he had to have surgery to pull his eye lids up. They were growing into his eyes, which could cause vision problems as he got older. His eyes healed well and we were able to make the trip from Florida to our duty station in Alaska. Recently the entropion is happening again in BOTH EYES as well as beginning cataracts in BOTH EYES! As well as an ULCER in his left eye. Since we can not have children Milo and our other dog Mila are our children. Please donate so we can help Milo get the surgery he needs!!! He just turned One in May and has his whole life ahead of him!!
The Estimate for both Cataract and Ulcer surgery’s is between $3,000 and $6,000.
The Estimate for the double entropion surgery is between $1,000 and $2,000
**I will add updates after each vet visit!!**

We just had vet visit number 2! The vet was finally able to see his eye. We have concluded that he will need immediate surgery like as soon as possible. He is currently at high rick of losing vision in his left eye and at medium risk of losing vision in his right eye. We have been giving another medication for him so he is now getting two pills every 12 hours and eye drops in each eye every 12 hours as well. PLEASE SEND US GOOD VIBES!!!

He’s finally opened the eye just long enough for me to get a clear shot of it.

We had our first Vet Visit! We got eye drops, medication and also a cone to prevent further damage from rubbing and scratching, with a follow up visit soon. The vet says she can’t do the surgery until he’s a full adult which is about a year from now. She can do the surgery now but because he is young his eye shape will change. Short story, doing a surgery now would cause more harm than good and he would need another surgery later on. We will be doing daily medications, eye drops, and stuff for a month or two until the vet can get a good look at the whole eye to decide what else can be done before surgery because he is in a lot of pain and is obviously not happy.
