Uncle Ben's Handicap Saddle

Donation protected
Have you ever been passionate about something that you just could not do anymore for some reason beyond your control? Imagine having a disease that not only prevented you from chasing your dreams, but makes every other aspect of your life incredibly more difficult even as far as eating or getting out of bed in the morning. My Uncle, Ben Parto, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2001. At first, it did not prevent him from doing the things that he loves, such as horse-back riding, teaching the art of Natural Horsemanship, and working on vehicles. However, MS is a neurodegenerative disease, meaning that the patient slowly loses motor function due to the degeneration of neuronal tissue, in this case the Mylen Sheath at the base of his spine. In the past fifteen years, he has lost almost all motor function and cannot ride horses or work on cars on his own. In spite of these difficulties, Uncle Ben has managed to continue teaching Natural Horsemanship in order to share his passion with today’s youth in hope that they can find the same benefits that he did at one point in time in doing what he loves. The only issue is that it is very difficult, at the riding level, to teach without proper demonstration. Not all hope is lost though; a company has engineered a saddle that allows people with disabilities to ride horses without having to worry about difficulties with balance and staying in place on the horses back. If my uncle could purchase this saddle, his teaching will flourish and maybe even one day, his students could compete as he would have liked to. With your help, and a small donation of ten dollars, My Uncle could purchase this $3200 saddle and follow his dreams, while inspiring young people to be the best that they can be doing something they both are respectively passionate about.
To further understand our goals and how much this saddle will facilitate my uncle's teaching and riding ability, check out the website posted below!
