Hello My name is Aimee Richard and I am needing a bit of assistance with my medical journey.
I was recently diagnosed with Stage 1 Colon Cancer and will be traveling to Lake Charles and Shreveport quite often to get medical treatment. I live 1-2.5 hours away from each location. I do not have insurance and use the University health system due to not being able to work. (i have more health issues than just the cancer diagnosis but it's the scariest to me at this point)
The money will be used mostly for transportation, hotel accomodations and food to and from the hospitals. On June 17th i go for an appointment in Lake Charles to see my OBGYN for a procedure because my PAP Smear came back abnormal. I have a 2nd colonospy in Shreveport with the colorectal surgeon on June 20th and then June 22 i have to be back up there for the results/consultation with the surgeon to decide what he thinks is possible for my course of treatment. So I definitely need some help with travel costs ASAP.
Your help will be truly appreciated and is very much needed right now. I hate to burden people with my story but was told that people who love me will help if they can if i just ask. If your unable to help I would appreciate any prayers you can lift up for me.
