Raising Money for Jonny!

Donation protected
Jonathan and Alana, a dynamic couple that first met while working together at Tinsletown Movie Theater in Baton Rouge La., in 2006.  They later married in 2011 and moved to New Orleans to work in the service industry in the Fall of 2014.
     The Incident:
In the early morning hours of Friday, June 3rd, Jonathan was walking home from his shift at Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant in the CBD of New Orleans.  As he approached the famous Lee Circle, a man came up to him and demanded Jonny's belongings.  Jonny refused and suddenly was struck multiple times by the man.  As Jonny was attempting to protect himself and his belongings, the man pulled a hand gun and shot three rounds in Jonny's direction, two of which hit him.  The first bullet hit him in the thigh, while the second bullet penetrated his lower abdomen.  Being the persistent man that Jonny is, he continued to stand his ground enough to knock the gun from the attacker's hand, scaring the attacker away. However, the attacker managed to rip the bag from Jonny's hands.
After realizing what had happened, Jonny  called 911 and his wife Alana, explaining a detailed account of the crime.
When the ambulance, came they rushed him to emergency surgery where the doctors were able to resection his large intestine.  The doctors were proud to say that the bullet missed his stomach, spleen and liver, but not by much!!  Jonny spent three long days in the Trauma ICU Ward until they were able to move him to a room of his own in regular patient care. Jonny's strength and persistance grows every day in the hospital, impressing the doctors by eating solid food and walking throughout the hallways in the hospital.  Anyone that knows Jonny, understands that you cannot keep that man still for too long!
Jonny and his wife Alana want to thank everyone for all the calls, texts,  social media messages, flowers, love and support during this very unfortunate time.  The next few months of rehab will be challenging for Jonny, but not as challenging as the financial strain this will put on the young couple.  Any and all donations are welcomed with opened arms and are very appreciated. Please be as generous as you can and please pass this story on to friends and family.
