Harry's Housefire and Recovery Guy's

Help us help Harry and his recovery guys--On Monday, May 30, 2016 a fire started in the laundry room at Harry Cunliffe's home. The new sober guys living with Harry returned from bringing an AA meeting to a treatment center and discovered the fire. They called it in and the fire department
arrived promptly and put it out.

The fire damage rendered the home unlivable, and this has displaced Harry and three sober men in early recovery. All of the contents of Harry¹s home are unusable and being removed for cataloging, cleaning or declaring lost beyond repair.

Harry's home office has been destroyed significantly impacting his ability to run Two Wolves and the highly successful program Recovery

Anyone who knows Harry is aware that he has dedicated his life to changing recovery rates in the world.  Not only does he work full time bringing his innovative programs to help individuals and families, but he spends a great deal of his personal time each week working with alcoholics and addicts in an unpaid service role. #helpharry

We are in our we temporary house. What a relief to have a place to be together and support new guys on a daily basis. It is a lovely house in a great location. Thank you to all who are making it possible to be here.
Bigger than it looks on the inside and a lovely little shaded garden at the back.

We have made two positive steps forward to help the new guys and our housing situation.
First we set up a way to continue our morning 15 minute prayer and meditation process remotely through a conference call option and started that this week. We all benefit greatly from that and missed it last week.
Second, I found a great possibility for temporary housing in St. Louis Park. It is much smaller, but can accomodate us, has flexibility for length of stay and is in a great location for buses, walking to groceries and stores and the possibility of local part-time work.

The housing option alone will run between $11,000 and $15,000 if things go according to plan so we really appreciate all of the generous donations that are making it look like a possibility.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Best wishes,

Harry and the new guys.
It has washed its last garment. Thank you for your service over the years

It is a week since the fire. The guys are doing well, all things considered. It is far from ideal though with each one staying with different people in very different locations around the cities. Most of the housing leads have not been possibles so far, but I am looking at one tomorrow that shows promise. The costs for the housing alone look pretty consistent across the board at between $10,000 to $15,000 for the temporary stay.
We are so grateful for all the donations so far and for the leads for possible homes and other offers of help. It is a wonderful thing to be part of a community of people who understand the importance of stable early recovery and reachout their hands to help. Thank you. Harry

As we dig through the wreckage and sort out what is lost versus what can be cleaned and saved the ironies of life are not lost on me. I had to take this photo of a melted power outlet
