Throughout my life all I have ever wanted was to be able to attend college.  This was something that always seemed impossble regardless of how amazing I did in school.  Growing up I knew I wanted to do great things so when I attended high school I quickly got involved in honors courses, the Army Junior ROTC program, band, and community service.  I became the best cadet of the Junior ROTC program and became a top student academically making people believe that come graduation I would easily get the ROTC scholarship to attend a university.  Yet, this was not the case due to many not knowing that I was not a United States citizen at the time.  As graduation got closer I became more and more upset as I was running out of time to figure out my citizenship.  A month before graduation my citizenship in the United States was established allowing me the opportunity to apply to college.  I was accepted to the University of Arizona but I was already to late to apply to any scholarships, making it both a happy and frustrating time.  Regardless of my lack of funds, I jumped on board and attended the University of Arizona in the fall of 2015.

The first semester of college was easily payed thank you to financial aid and some savings from my mother, but when the second semester came around things became harder.  My mother lost her job in the spring of 2017 making paying for tuition a second priority.  To top all this, during the time I was also seeing a doctor due to some uncomfortable pain in my right chest and back.  Things during the second semester became harder and where my life was headed was unknown.  By the time April came around I could no longer sit in a chair, sleep during the night, and I was in pain during the day and night causing me to drop the semester.  Not soon after this issue caused me to drop the semester I was diagnosed with stage three cancer, the cherry ontop of a very difficult time.  My friends created this go fund me account to help raise funds that I did not have to help me pay for my treatments since money had always been an issue in my life.  I have done everything possible to be able to attend a university and it seems like my life always has a way to stop me from reaching my dreams.

I will be receiving my last chemo on October 6 after a very long battle of fighting cancer and once I am cleared I would like the opportunity to attend the university.  This is something I can not do without the financial support that gofundme can offer me.  Too much money went into my citizenship and to the treatments for my cancer.  I believe that after everything I have been through I truelly deserve an opportunity to make a difference in the world by continuing my studies so I can make a contribution to the country and world that I have fought so hard to be a part of.

I truelly appreciate everything go fund me has done for me and for many other people like me who have struggled in any way.

Forever grateful,
