1LT Henderson-Huff Memorial

This September will mark the 10 year anniversary of the passing of our platoon leader, 1LT Ashley Henderson-Huff. While performing combat leadership duties, Ashley's convoy was attacked and she was not able to make it. A caring and loving soul, she led a platoon of military police through a combat tour in Iraq in 2005-2006. As a platoon leader, she touched the lives of not just her soliders, but also the Iraq police she worked with, and the children she would often make time to stop and engage with. To commemorate and celebrate her life and the sipirit of the Military Police Corps, we are holding a memorial for her with past members of her unit, as well as her family. 

The funds will go to providing accomodations for her family to make the trip, costs of hosting a gathering with this much travel and moving parts, and assistance for members of her unit that would otherwise be unable to attend due to finanical reasons. Anything leftover from this fund raiser would be donated towards a scholarship fund under her name(link found below). In order to get things ordered and spaces reserved in time, we are looking to meet our goal no later than June 15th. 

As a member of this unit, I can personally speak to the effects having a person like Ashley in my life, and the lasting effect her memory has had on us all. We have come far in creating and growing this event, no easy task when we are all spread out over the country. Please help us in this final push to get this going and to pay tribute to a truly great American, brave woman, and deeply loved family member and friend.
