Tom was living on the streets and being fed by a kind animal rescuer for the last 3 years. He showed up one evening with both sides of his cheeks ripped down and exposing the bone. He had been attacked either by a racoon or coyote. It took us 5 days to trap him and get him veterinary care which resulted in the infection spreading. He was in very bad shape.
He was sent home to recuperate but the vet had sewed up his face not leaving any drains in place for the infection to drain out so everything had to be redone. Thankfully we found a vet who is giving him the best care. He still has 3 more weeks of treatment, pain medications and monitoring to make sure he is healing correctly. By helping Tom he will be able to get fully healed and return to his regular life. We would be so thankful to see him back to normal and given a second chance.
