Hey everyone... I almost died. But I didn't.


On May 13, 2016 my heart failed (two bad valves + an aorta with a major aneurysm). Plus I had several heart attacks... This is a life changing event. While I hope to return to work in the near future, I do not have the insurance coveragage needed to care for my sons, pay for my medication or get the therapy I need. I will die without this.

So I decided to open this gofundme in hopes that friends / family could contribute a little so I can at least cover the next couple years Jason is is still in High School.

It turns out the cause was congenital (birth defect - but smoking is still bad lol), not congestive. I was born with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. That contributed to a 2nd valve infection and an aortic aneurysm. Apparently it all started around September of 2015... but really didn't manifest until January 2016.

So... the surgeons spent about 9 hours fixing my heart and I've been recovering since. I still have at least 4 more weeks recovery... there are no set visiting hours, so feel free to stop in and see me anytime!!! And if you can help out - please do!
