My Mother Needs Help

Where do I start? My mom has bills piling up and she found out yesterday that she has to pay over $1200 in student loan fees. The bill that was sent, was also 45 days late. The reason why I put the goal to $5,000 is because she has no way of paying it and she has an additional $700 a month of her student loans to pay on top of it. She has always given me the world, and I want to do the same for her. She is supporting two people right now as well. She makes $16,000 a year, and can’t lower her bills per month to adjust to her income. You cannot support 3 people off of $16,000 a year. She goes through the VA for medical aid and now she can’t see her therapist anymore and has lost all of these benefits because she apparently “makes too much" according to the VA here in Boise, Idaho.

My mom and I talked last night about some pretty serious topics. She suffers from depression and was telling me that she feels so hopeless and that she wanted to kill herself. Now, to hear that from my mom hurt like hell. I don't want to ever see her like that again. She has dreams of building a house and settling down, but she told me that she will never be able to do that anymore. I am so terrified to wake up and find my mother dead or to get a phone call saying that she is. My mom is so strong and selfless. The world needs more people like her. She also has no idea that I am doing this for her, so for me to surprise her with some money would mean the world whether it be $50 or $5000.
